Privacy Policy for Vibe Reader

At Vibe Apps, your privacy is our priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how the Vibe Reader iOS and iPadOS application ("the App") handles your information.

Our core principle is simple: Vibe Reader does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. The App has no network code at all — it never contacts a server, ours or anyone else's.

1. Data Collection and Usage

Vibe Reader is designed to run entirely locally on your device. We do not collect any personal information, analytics, usage data, or crash reports directly. The App does not require an account, contains no advertising, and we do not track your behaviour.

2. Your PDF Documents

Vibe Reader only ever sees the PDF files you choose to add to it. Nothing is imported automatically and the App has no access to the rest of your files.

• You Pick The Files: Documents are added through Apple's own system file picker. The App receives access only to the files you select in that picker, and only at the moment you select them.
• Stored On Your Device: Each selected PDF is copied into Vibe Reader's private app container on your device, so your library keeps working even if the original file moves or is deleted.
• Never Uploaded: Your documents are never uploaded, shared, indexed, or transmitted anywhere. Their contents are read on your device only, to render pages and generate cover thumbnails.
• You Can Remove Them: Deleting a book in the App deletes the copied file. Deleting the App removes its entire container, including every document, cover, and reading record.

3. Reading Progress and Statistics

To reopen a book on the page where you stopped, and to show your reading streak, the App keeps a small record on your device: document titles and file names, page counts and the current page, the time a book was last opened, and per-day reading activity.

This record is written to plain files inside the App's own container on your device. It is not sent to us, it is not backed up to any Vibe Apps server, and it is not shared with any third party.

4. App Settings and Preferences

Your reading preferences — such as paging mode, margins, and paper style — are saved locally on your device using Apple's standard preference storage. We do not have access to this data, nor is it stored on any of our own servers.

5. iCloud Drive and the Files App

Vibe Reader does not sync your library to iCloud and does not use any Vibe Apps cloud service. Two things may still involve Apple's services, both under your control and not visible to us:

• Importing: if you pick a PDF stored in iCloud Drive, iOS downloads that file for you as part of your own Apple account. That transfer happens between your device and Apple, never through us.
• The Files App: Vibe Reader's document folder is visible in the Files app, so you can add or remove PDFs there directly. Whether that folder is included in your device backup is governed by your own iCloud Backup settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Vibe Reader does not collect data from anyone, including children. The App displays only the documents its user chooses to add.

7. Third-Party Services & Website Analytics

The Vibe Reader application does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tracking, or advertising frameworks. The app operates entirely standalone on your device.

This website uses PostHog (EU-hosted) to collect anonymous usage data, only after you provide explicit consent via the analytics banner. No cookies or persistent identifiers are stored. No personally identifiable information is collected.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If any significant changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
